This fully accredited fellowship offers one year of intensive instruction in all areas of Cytopathology with emphasis on superficial and deep-seated fine needle aspirations (FNA). FNA procedures are performed by the clinicians, radiologists and pathologists in our pathology based FNA Clinic. The use of ThinPrep technology, ancillary techniques, and the integration of Surgical Pathology with Cytopathology are emphasized.
Two months of the fellowship year are devoted to elective experience in cytopathology; during this time specialized interests may be pursued. Fellows are also involved in quality assurance, research and teaching activities. They also participate in our many intra- and interdepartmental conferences.
